Conference: Aligning Indigenous Land Management with Economic Development 2010

JOB SKILLS WORKSHOP

The below workshops were successful and will be followed by an assessment of what areas of training people have requested. QSNTS will then work with TAFE Queensland to arrange the training courses to be held in the next 6 months, details will become available soon.

  • Bundaberg - 25 November 2009

What is a skills audit?

We sit down with you and get some information off you about what jobs you are interested in doing.
We ask you some questions so we can work out what type of training you need to do those jobs.
We talk with TAFE about training for you.
 

What will I get out of doing a skills audit?

You will be able to access free training at times to suit you.
You will be trained to assist your community in looking after their native title matters including future acts and cultural heritage.
You will be able to support your community in building an economic Corporation/Business.
You will gain personal development skills as well as training in the areas that you want to work in.
 

When and How?

The workshop will be held at a suitable venue in your community.
Refreshments will be provided
The Workshop will take a couple of hours of your time.
