Requesting Assistance

As a native title service provider, QSNTS operates under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), and in accordance with s 203BB(2) of the Act, we may only provide services to Traditional Owners if requested to do so.

QSNTS' facilitation and assistance functions are only exercisable in relation to matters that fall within the boundaries of our region of responsibility, and within the scope of our statutory functions. Requests for assistance must also be made in writing, either via e-mail, post, or in-person at one of our QSNTS offices.

QSNTS is guided by its values of respect, honesty, trust, fairness and accountability. As such, Traditional Owners can access information about our statutory functions and our decision-making process in relation to requests for assistance by downloading the Part 11, Division 3, Native Title Act - Explanatory Document below.

To request assistance from QSNTS, please complete a Facilitation and Assistance Request Form (below) and submit it to QSNTS using one of the following options:
